Updating your website

Depending on the nature of your website, it may be that you will only want to update the content once a year or it maybe that you need to update it daily. In order that you can update your website whenever you want, we provide you with a web-based editor. To make changes to your website you do not need any special software on your local PC, you just visit your website, click on the <Administration> button and log in with a unique username and password. This gives you access to the editor that allows you to update your site.

Training and User Guide

Once your website is up and running we will sit down with you and explain how you can update the content using the web-based editor. All the training information and much more is available in the User Guide. If the information you are looking for is not in the User Guide then please contact us and we'll find the answer.

Web Hosting

We offer two options for Web Hosting;

  • Option (1) - 1GB of server space administrated by Flat White Designs [$80 pa]
  • Option (2) - 100GB of server space administered by you [$175 pa]

If you are are looking to spread your costs we would recommend that you start with Option (1). You can always move to Option (2) in the future if required.

If you wish all site administration activities to be under your control from the start then select Option (2).

If at some time in the future you wish to take control of all administration activities or work with a web design company other than Flat White Designs, we will need to migrate your website to your own host. At this stage you can choose your own host or follow our recommendation. If you choose your own host we will give you a list of functionality requirements to ensure a seemless changeover and will of course assist in the migration.
