Your website features a document store that can be accessed by both you and the public. If you approve and publish a document in the document store then it will be available for the public to download. If you leave the document unpublished then you will still be able to provide links to it on the website. The document store is a component called DOCMan and is accessed via the Components>DOCMan drop down menus.

Step 1 -  Create a category

Before a document can be added to DOCMan you must first create at least one category (eg. "newsletters" or "leaflets").

  • Components>DOCMan>Management>Categories>Add
  • enter the category name in both the Title and Name boxes
  • Save.
Step 2 - Upload the File

Next upload a document from your local PC to the documents folder on the  web server.

  • Components > DOCMan > Files
  • Upload
  • Upload a file from your computer > Next
  • Browse > (select a file from you PC) > Submit
  • Make a new document entry using this file
  • enter a name for the document
  • select a category eg. leaflets
  • if you want the document to be visible to the public then click on the Approve and Publish radio buttons
  • Save
